Ozon is a colorless gas at normal temperatures and is a very powerful oxidant that naturally exists all around us. Ozone disinfection surpasses traditional treatments. Ozone is an effective antimicrobial oxidant that can be safely used as a disinfectant, instead of traditional chemical or thermal disinfection methods. It is used as a gas or dissolved in water as an aqueous solution. Ozone has been confirmed as a "killer" of all known pathogens and has been safely tested for the environment or work in areas where people will stay after disinfection. Ozone has also been safely tested by a third party - by scientists, since 1906 for a number of pathogens in a number of applications.
